My name is Ferdinand and I’m a young man who was born and raised in Ghana, passionate about life and always enjoys spending quality time with the people that matter to me.

Though I grew up in Ghana, I’ve also spent a huge chunk of my adult life in South Korea. I arrived in Cheonan in 2012 and attended Sunmoon University Korean Language Institute. A year later, I enrolled into Hanyang University and completed my Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. Afterwards, I joined the Shim Lab in the Department of Life Science for further studies and research.

I enjoy traveling—mostly for the sights and sometimes, the food. I like drumming, strumming my guitar, playing football, watching movies, chatting or simply taking a nap!

I’m a fairly rounded individual who is convinced no man can exist entirely as an island and because everybody needs somebody, I went and found my special “somebody” and we got married. It’s been fun so far, despite a few challenges, and we look forward to making more memories together.

I look forward to making new friends, sharing thoughtful ideas and being a channel of encouragement to many out there looking to fulfill their purpose in life!

Faith

At my very core are my moral convictions. They keep me honest at all times. Believing in Jesus Christ and his teachings give me the right lenses to look at life and helps me grow in love, which is all that matters now.

Family

I am married to a beautiful woman who is a source of great comfort for me in difficult times and a partner to celebrate all the great moments in life. I feel very honored to call her my wife and glad she is part of my family.

Work

This is an aspect of life I take very seriously because of the inherent responsibility and benefits. Currently, I am conducting scientific research into mechanisms related to metabolic diseases like diabetes and obesity.
