Life is not fair

I was thinking just a while ago about how life is hard, unfair and unjust. When I look around, it’s not difficult to find that a lot of people struggle to just live. Living has never been more complicated than in this generation. The suffering is more than at any other time point. There are those who are bed-ridden and cannot get out of bed at all. Others are able to get out of bed but have no food to eat. Even worse, there are those who have nowhere to sleep when night falls. Guess what, these situations are not the worst.

The future is bright

Nowadays, many young people feel stuck and unable to live their lives as comfortably as they’d want to. We struggle with simple things and great opportunities always appear to pass us by. It’s hard to think about living, let alone living with purpose. As a result, we tend to have a bleak outlook of the future. We’ve somewhat forgotten the mantra of “the future” being “always bright”. The light at the end of the tunnel seems extinguished and all we got left is the dark tunnel.

You’re alive, that’s good news

My friend, if you can relate to this, I’m here to bring that light back into your life. The hope that was lost, was never really lost. This is not to say your struggles are unreal. No, not at all. In fact, I agree with you about them. Even more, I am willing to acknowledge the pain you’re going through if you are, because if you can feel the pain, then you are, indeed, alive. Being alive is good news. Oh yes!

There’s nothing to be more excited about than the fact of being alive. Yes, life is not fair and the struggles are real. But, you are alive! You are alive! It means you can breathe, your heart is pumping blood to your organs and your brain is working. Do you understand the gravity of this? It means you are not dead! My brother, my sister, if you’re alive and not dead, then there’s still hope. There’s hope that things can change. Your trajectory can be altered. Your life can still amount to something great and worthwhile. It’s not over yet, and you’ve got a say in this matter because it’s your life!

What are you going to do?

Now, my question to you is this. What are you going to do about it?

Are you going to clean up yourself and get a job? Will you pay closer attention to your finances and live according to your means? Are you going to lean into the love of your family or friends and know you’re valued? Will you take that class or courses you’ve been avoiding this whole time? Are you going to stop wasting your time on frivolous activities and folly, and start managing your time wisely? Is it time you got back to that project you abandoned and start looking for solutions to make it work? Perhaps, it’s time you left your mistress and focused on your wife and family? What about those other excuses? It’s time to be done with them, no?

Yes, you can

My friend, whatever it is you need to do to transform your hope into action and then to change your trajectory in this life, I assure you that it’s not beyond you. Yes, you can do whatever is required and even do more than demanded. This is your chance, take hold of it, seize it and make it count!
