The Motivation For Winning Each Day

One Sunday night, I was sitting in my living room watching Elevation church’s Steve Furtick talk about success. The title of the message was what it means is up to me. After listening to the message, one thing became very clear to me.

The thing is, I have always wanted to help young people figure out how to find or navigate their purpose in life, and this has really been on my heart for as long as I can remember.

So after listening to that message, I decided it was time to start doing something about it. I needed to start out on this journey I am so passionate about.

Usually, I meet and have lengthy, meaningful and insightful conversations about living a purposeful life with a lot of my friends. During such discussions, we come up with loads of material which, frankly, are practical and helpful.

Every time, after such discussions, somewhere deep inside my heart, I think to myself “there is someone out there waiting to hear this too. I’ve got to get these materials out!”

First, I started with a page on Facebook called the Dawn of Hope (now Winning Each Day). This is the place I share some thoughts on various topics or one-liners I think would get young people thinking about a different perspective on issues or even be a source of encouragement. I could have continued with just that, but somehow, it didn’t feel sufficient. I needed to do more.

So, what’s Winning Each Day all about? I’d say it’s a journey. One that will evolve, spread love and always be identified by its mission to encourage young people to live purpose-driven lives. A successful journey at that.
